Provincial Flower : Cochlospermum regium, also known as suphannika or yellow cotton tree

Scientific classification: Cochlospermaceae-Bixaceae
Originating from Central America and South America. The tree is 5-15 meters tall. The top bush is round,shed leaves, The rind is in shade of gray to smooth brown. The branches are often crooked,single leaf layering out and about a handful, pointed tip, pointed leaf with wavy edge. Leaves are greenish-green with small hairs change to red when defoliate. Yellow flowers both single and double petals at the end of the branch. It is released once a year during the months of December to March. It's fruit is an ornamental shape and can be planted in any part of Thailand, grow well in the soil. Before flowering will dismiss the leaves, like outdoor and sunshine.
